UASC introduces new direct services from/to North Europe on AEC1 with calls at Jebel Ali
United Arab Shipping Company announced that the AEC1 service will start new direct calls to Jebel Ali. With that UASC would be adding a direct service from/to North Europe with competitive transit times offering 17 days from the last port in Europe and 25 days from Jebel Ali to the first port in North Europe. UASC and CSCL has agreed a Slot Swap on their AEC2 - AEX7 services, covering the Trade Route between Asia and Europe
United Arab Shipping Company announced that a slot swap agreement with CSCL involving a total of 500 slots is concluded on their respective AEC2 and AEX7 services covering the Asia/Europe trade route.This becomes effective from the following voyages on these services: AEC2 Service M.V. Hatta 1121W at QINGDAO port on the 20th of May 2011 and AEX7 service M.V.CSCL JUPITER V.0001 at Shanghai port on the 21st of May 2011.[26-04-2011]

UASC takes delivery of first A13 class containership
United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) has taken delivery of its first 13,500 teu capacity container vessel. Umm Salal, named after an area of Qatar famed for its historic monuments, was handed over during a spectacular ceremony at the Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) shipyard in Geoje, South Korea, where the vessel was named by its sponsor, Sheikh Ali Bin Jassim Al Thani, the government of Qatar’s representative on UASC’s board of directors.[15-02-2011]
