United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) is pleased to announce that as of March 16th 2012, all UASC operations in Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia have started running under a new company called “United Arab Shipping Agency Company Central Eastern Europe” (UASAC CEE).
UASAC CEE takes over the existing activities from 3rd party agents Dolphin Shipping and Interliner Agencies, who after several years of dedicated service have laid the foundation for UASC to continue its growth within the Central European market.
UASAC CEE will initially operate from Vienna, Austria and Prague, Czech Republic, with further expansion towards the emerging markets of Hungary and Slovakia planned for the future. The current organization will see the Vienna office serving Austria and Hungary while the Prague office will be in charge of Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The establishment of UASAC CEE branches in Central European landlocked countries is part of the company’s long-term growth strategy and regional expansion plans enabling UASC to offer the company’s valued customers a fully integrated global operation.
The Central European trade market will witness the direct benefits of this new venture through the optimized UASC global network of services, offering continuously improved port coverage, faster and reliable shipping services with some of the best transit times on the market and with a cost competitive edge, while ensuring the delivery of personalized customer-service through a dedicated local work force, thus simplifying the customers’ shipping experience and bringing UASC closer to its customer base.
