United Arab Shipping Company (UASC), CSCL and CMACGM have agreed to extend and expand current cooperation on their jointly operated Asia - Europe service (AEX7/FAL2/AEC8) to also encompass Asia to Middle East (AMA/CIMEX/AGX1) as from early 2012.
The 3 lines will deploy a total of 17 x 13 to 14,000 Teu vessels in the 2 services, of which 10 vessels will be deployed in the existing jointly operated Asia to Europe service (CSCL 6 vessels/CMACGM 1 vessel/UASC 3 vessels) and 7 vessels in the Asia to Middle East service (CSCL 3 vessels/CMACGM 1 vessel/UASC 3 vessels).
The Asia to Europe service (AEX7/FAL2/AEC8) commencing in late February 2012 will be slightly amended to include quick west and eastbound calls at Jeddah which however will not compromise the transit time offered from Asian to North European ports.
Shanghai - Ningbo - Shekou - Hong Kong - Yantian - Port Kelang - Jeddah - Le Havre - Rotterdam - Hamburg - Zeebruegge - Jeddah - Port Kelang - Shanghai.
The Asia to Middle East service commencing in early February 2012 will offer comprehensive port coverage of North Eastern Asian ports as well as Central and South Chinese ports to the Arabian Gulf with an objective of offering some of the best transit times available in the trade.
Tianjin/Xingang – Dalian – Pusan – Shanghai – Ningbo – Shekou – Port Kelang – Jebel Ali – Khor Fakkan or vice versa – Port Kelang – Nansha – Tianjin/Xingang.
