Basil Abdulwahab Al Zaid is the Chief Financial Officer and the Chief Technical Officer of the United Arab Shipping Company.
Basil joined UASC in January 2001 as Vice President Treasury. As UASC’s Group Treasurer he brought total dynamism into the Investments & Treasury Functions of the department.
Basil has over 21 years of Managerial experience in Corporate Finance, Treasury and International Investments. He spent 14 valuable years with major Financial Institutions in Kuwait such as Burgan Bank, Kuwait Finance House & Kuwait Securities Group (Investment Bank).
Basil has a Bachelor of Science degree and holds a Master's Degree (M.A.) in International Business from Webster University, St.Louis, USA.
Basil was born in 1959, married to Alia and has 2 sons and 2 daughters.
