Ostergaard joined UASC as Chief Commercial Officer in 2013 bringing deep knowledge of container shipping having spent 20 years with the A.P. Moller Maersk Group in various management positions. He has significant international experience in strategy, sales and marketing, and business development, and is a chairman of various agency boards in Europe, Asia and India.

Prior to joining UASC, Ostergaard was most recently Head of Global Marketing for the A.P. Moller Maersk Group where he was responsible for business intelligence, product development and branding, globally. He also held roles as Strategy Director and Senior General Manager for Global Sales Management. Ostergaard is an experienced Trade Manager and has acted as Country Manager in a number of locations around the world.
Ostergaard holds a business degree from Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College, Denmark complemented through various executive management programs at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland and Columbia Business School in New York, USA.
